A Message to our patients about COVID

Projected Re-opening Date: 5/4/2020

A Message to our Patients:

As things have progressed rapidly over the past few days since our last update, there have been several recommendations from both the CDC and the ADA in regards to how dental offices should operate going forward to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Both agencies have recommended that dental providers only see Emergency/Essential Dental Treatment. What this means is that we will be able to provide dental care that is required immediately at this time. Routine cleanings do not fall under this category, so it is with a heavy heart that I will be shutting down our hygiene department for the next two weeks, and we will plan to resume doing routine cleanings on April 6th. This time is subject to change, as we all know that this situation is changing daily if not hourly. Mary and Sherri will miss all of you dearly and will look forward to seeing you in our office when the hygiene department resumes.

I will still be in the office during regularly scheduled hours to perform Emergency and Essential Dental Care. If you have a question about whether your dental treatment falls under this category, please feel free to call the office as I am happy to have this conversation and clarify any confusion regarding this matter.

I want you to know that we are doing everything and more to make sure our office is as safe as humanly possible during this time. We have always been at the top in regards to a safe and healthy office environment, and our new measures have increased this level of safety even more. I want you to rest assured that if you do need to come into our office, we will do everything we can to make sure you are protected from COVID-19. We are cleaning common surfaces multiple times per day, and especially now that hygiene will not be seeing patients, we will have much less than the recommended ten people or fewer gatherings. I am doing my best to limit my exposure to the virus by avoiding large gatherings and washing/sanitizing as often as possible. I encourage you all to do the same during this time to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Our front desk will be calling all hygiene patients scheduled for the next two weeks to get them rescheduled for a later date. If you have a treatment scheduled with me, our front will also be calling you to ensure that you are still comfortable to come in and assess the necessity of your dental needs. Please know that we will continue to update you as this situation changes.
