Office Re-Opening Information

Re-opening Date: 5/4/2020

A Message to our Patients:

We are incredibly excited to announce that we will be re-opening our dental practice beginning Monday, 5/4/20. We have followed Governor Abbott’s orders since the COVID-19 pandemic began to only see Emergency Dental Care. But recently the Governor announced that dental practices can begin seeing patients so long as certain guidelines are followed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are extremely focused on providing the safest environment possible for your dental needs so we will take every precaution possible in order to limit your exposure to COVID-19.

Our community has been through a lot over the last couple of months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. Please complete an online COVID-19 Patient Screening Form the day you have your appointment. You can also fill one out at our office.
  • We will have hand sanitizer that we will recommend you use when you enter the office
  • The waiting room will be closed and we will ask you to wait in your car until you are ready to be seen. You can text/call us at the office phone number 972-394-1492. We will respond back confirming your arrival and will text again when we are ready for you to come into the building. Our front door will be locked so you will only be let in when we are ready for you.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment
  • We strongly recommend that you wear a mask when entering the building and while leaving to help prevent any exposure. This is for your benefit and also for the staff’s as well
  • Your temperature will be taken prior to you removing your mask to ensure you do not have a fever
  • We will ask you to rinse with Hydrogen peroxide for 30 secs prior to any dental treatment being performed
  • All staff members will be wearing PPE that meets the required guidelines set forth by the ADA, TDA, TSBDE, and Governor Abbott’s office to help minimize any possible COVID-19 exposure

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 972-394-1492.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
