Dental Implants Provide a Stable
Foundation for Restorations

A popular solution for missing teeth, dental implants and implant-supported restorations are an innovative treatment that can help restore your smile. Placing dental implants is a sophisticated procedure that requires a unique set of skills and experience. To ensure the highest quality of care, Dr. Anthony Dillard works with a network of trusted professionals to perform specialized and personalized procedures. For dental implant treatment, we work with Dr. Bazan, a board-certified periodontist who can successfully place your implants at our Carrollton, TX, office. Our team will personally coordinate your procedure so you feel confident about each step of your treatment.

Dental Implants Explained

Dental implants and implant-supported restorations can replace missing teeth from root to crown, restoring form and function to your smile. For the right patients, dental implants can provide a superior alternative to traditional dental crowns, bridges, and dentures. These posts act as a strong, permanent foundation for fixed or removable restorations, playing a fundamental role in repairing your smile.

During your procedure, our team can embed dental implants in your jaw to provide a stable base for a crown, bridge, or denture.

Who is a Candidate?

Your oral and general health are of the utmost importance when considering dental implants. To determine whether you are a candidate for dental implants, Dr. Dillard can conduct a thorough evaluation of your dental health and medical history. You may not qualify for dental implants if you have:

  • Gum disease
  • A bleeding disorder
  • An autoimmune disease
  • A compromised immune system

In addition to being in good overall health, patients must also have sufficient jawbone tissue to support implant posts. If you have experienced jawbone recession as a result of missing teeth, Dr. Bazan can perform a bone graft or sinus lift procedure to improve your candidacy for dental implants.

Treatment Planning

If dental implants are appropriate for your needs, Dr. Dillard can work with you to create a personalized treatment plan. He can then coordinate the procedure with Dr. Bazan. The entire dental implant process can take anywhere from three to six months and can be performed in four appointments. Before Dr. Bazan can place your implant, he will perform all necessary extractions during a preliminary visit.

The Dental Implant Procedure

During your second appointment, Dr. Bazan can perform the implant procedure. To ensure your comfort throughout treatment, we can administer a local anesthetic and provide sedation when necessary. Once you are ready, Dr. Bazan can make a small incision in the gums and create space for each implant post in the jaw. Once the posts are in place, he can close the incisions with sutures.

Dental implants and implant-supported restorations can replace missing teeth from root to crown, restoring form and function to your smile.

Between the second and third appointments, your implants will fuse with your jawbone, providing a stable foundation for your restorations. While we do not offer immediate loading implants or same-day teeth, we may provide you with a temporary restoration to wear during the healing process. Once the post has integrated with surrounding bone, we can take impressions of your bite to create a model for your custom restoration. During your final appointment, we can place your new, personalized restoration for an enhanced smile.

Investing in Your Oral Health

Pricing for a single implant and dental crown begins at $3,999. Please note that extractions and sedation are not included as part of this cost. To ensure that cost does not prevent you from restoring your smile, we accept insurance as well as financing through CareCredit®. Dental implants offer a multitude of benefits, including increased stability and security.
